چکیده

Abstract Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is characterized by diffused hepatocyte bullous fat in the liver, which not caused alcohol or drugs like amiodarone and tamoxifen. Presently, no drug approved for NAFLD treatment. Therefore, it’s important to extract effective components from natural plants alleviate NAFLD. In this study, we extracted purified raspberry ketone, a phenolic compound red ( Rubus ideaus L.) an ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction method. The structure of ketone (RRK) was determined using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy purity RRK found as 80.06 ± 1.19%. After 28 days intragastric administration RRK, bodyweight model rats decreased significantly (p < 0.05). Besides, levels low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total triglyceride (TG) content high-density cholesterol serum increased drastically. Moreover, level damage indicators (aspartate aminotransferase, alanine alkaline phosphatase) glucose, insulin, free-fatty acid, tumor necrotic factor-α distinctly. TG malondialdehyde decreased, whereas superoxide dismutase, glutathione, glutathione peroxidase drastically increased. We also that reduced uneven size cells blurred boundaries hepatic lobules, alleviated steatosis inflammation inferred could relieve progression regulating glucose lipid metabolism alleviating oxidative stress vivo. This study sheds new light on use functional food prevention.

Red Blood Cell-Conditioned Media from Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Patients Contain Increased MCP1 and Induce TNF-α Release

Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) constitutes a global pandemic. An intricate network among cytokines and lipids possesses a central role in NAFLD pathogenesis. Red blood cells comprise an important source of both cytokines and signaling lipids and have an important role in molecular crosstalk during immunometabolic deregulation. However, their role in NAFLD has not been tho...

Anti-obese action of raspberry ketone.

Raspberry ketone (4-(4-hydroxyphenyl) butan-2-one; RK) is a major aromatic compound of red raspberry (Rubus idaeus). The structure of RK is similar to the structures of capsaicin and synephrine, compounds known to exert anti-obese actions and alter the lipid metabolism. The present study was performed to clarify whether RK helps prevent obesity and activate lipid metabolism in rodents. To test ...
